Project Details

This project consists of resurfacing S.R. 61 (S. Monroe Street) from Paul Russell Road to Perkins Street. Existing travel lanes, auxiliary lanes, median crossovers, and paved shoulders will be resurfaced. The typical section consists of a 4-lane urban section with two 12’ travel lanes, 4’ bike lanes, curb and gutter, and 6’ sidewalk in each direction separated by a 20’ raised median from Paul Russell Road to north of Putnam Drive and a 12’ paved median from north of Putnam Drive to Perkins Street. The right-of-way varies throughout the project limits. No additional right-of-way will be required.

Traffic Impacts

Motorists can expect nightly lane closures Sunday – Thursday, 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.; however, there will be no lane closures allowed on weekends, holidays or special events.
