Project Details

The proposed design includes the resurfacing of existing SR 63 travel lanes, auxiliary lanes, median crossovers, and paved shoulders within the project limits. The project includes modifications at the CR 159A (Potter Woodberry Road) intersection and the Hinson Main Street intersection to enhance safety. The SR 63 and CR 159A intersection improvements include closing the SR 63 median at Hinson Main Street, providing a southbound right-turn-only lane onto CR 159A, and increasing the length of the existing SR 63 northbound left-turn-only lane for additional capacity. The proposed access modifications to SR 63 within the project limits will be reviewed during the public hearing presentation. The project also involves minor improvements including replacement of sidewalk curb ramps and drainage improvements to accommodate the proposed resurfacing. No right-of-way will be required.

Traffic Impacts

Construction activities are weather dependent and might be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to use caution and to watch for heavy equipment and construction workers entering and exiting the roadway.
