Project Details
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PDE) Study for Pine Forest Road by widening the existing three-lane rural roadway to a four-lane divided urban highway for approximately 1.36 miles, excluding the limits of the I-10 Interchange at Pine Forest Road, which was studied under FPID 437905-1. Improvements along Pine Forest Road include widening to six lanes from Pine Forest Drive to South of I-10. North of I-10, Pine Forest Road will be widened to four lanes. Curb and gutter will be installed, along with a 10-foot shared use path and a 6-foot sidewalk. Right of way acquisition and construction are not funded at this time. Additional improvements include:
*Widening of Chellie Road to include 11-foot lanes with curb and gutter
*Extension of Pine Forest Drive to the west to connect to Chellie Road
*Installation of a signalized intersection at Pine Forest Drive
*Installation of signalized median U-turns along Nine Mile Road
*Construction of a roundabout at CR 297A
