Project Details

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PDE) Study for Pine Forest Road by widening the existing three-lane rural roadway to a four-lane divided urban highway for approximately 1.36 miles, excluding the limits of the I-10 Interchange at Pine Forest Road, which was studied under FPID 437905-1. Curb and gutter will be installed, along with a 10-foot shared use path and a 6-foot sidewalk. Right of way acquisition and construction are not funded at this time. Additional improvements include:

*Widening of Chellie Road to include 11-foot lanes with curb and gutter

*Extension of Pine Forest Drive to the west to connect to Chellie Road

*Installation of a signalized intersection at Pine Forest Drive

*Installation of signalized median U-turns along Nine Mile Road

*Construction of a roundabout at CR 297A
