Project Details

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began a $4.3 million construction project to replace the existing bridge culvert on North Ninth Avenue (State Road 289) over Capenters Creek. The work also includes resurfacing North Ninth Avenue between Royce Street and Bayou Boulevard and a portion of Carpenters Creek Drive. Additional improvements will include drainage upgrades: new curb and gutter: lighting system improvements: and new signage, pavement markings, guardrail, and sidewalks.

Traffic Impacts

RECENT PROGRESS: Bridge is open to four lanes of traffic, two in each direction. Drivers will continue to encounter intermittent and alternating lane closures as crews paint thermoplastic pavement markings
