Project Details

The improvements under this Contract consist of mill and resurface of SR 8 (I-10) from East of CR 69A to Gadsden County Line in Jackson County. Additional work consists of minor drainage improvements, guardrail improvements, signing and pavement markings, and the installation of a weigh in motion Quartz Element Piezoelectric sensors on Exit 158.

Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. and their subcontractor (ACME Barricades) plan to being installing project related information & work zone signs for the SR 8 (I-10) project beginning Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018. Possible construction operations for the month include milling and paving, front slope correction, median crossover construction, guardrail remove & replace, and other miscellaneous construction activities.

Traffic Impacts

Construction activities are weather dependent and might be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to use caution and to watch for heavy equipment and construction workers entering and exiting the roadway.

As a note, any "Lane Closures" that take place for this project can be anticipated from Sunday night through Friday morning, with the lane closures
