Project Details

The improvements under this contract consist of constructing Bridge No. 484259 over Jacks Branch, removal of the existing bridge, guardrail upgrades and reconstruction of the bridge approaches on CR 196 (Barrineau Park Road) in Escambia County, Florida. Barrineau Park Road will be closed and traffic detoured via US 29, Molino Road (CR 182) and SR 95A (see detour map). The project is anticipated to take nine months to complete; weather permitting. Work will include: (1) removing and replacing current bridge; (2) adding new guardrail; and (3) reconstructing approach slabs. As shown on the detour map, during construction, westbound traffic on Barrineau Park Road will be detoured: (1) North on CR 95A, (2) West on Molino Road, and (3) South on US 29 to Barrineau Park Road. Eastbound traffic on Barrineau Park Road will be detoured: (1) North on US 29, (2) East on Molino Road, and (3) South on CR 95A to Barrineau Park Road.

Traffic Impacts

Barrineau Park Road (CR 196) is closed at the bridge near CR 95A for bridge replacement. A detour route is in place. Drivers should anticipate the potential for increased traffic along the detour route. Barrineau Park Road will be re-opened once bridge construction is completed.
