The Interchange Justification Report (IJR) and Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study for Interstate 10 (I-10) at County Road 4 (Antioch Road) is a study for a new interchange. The purpose of this project is to improve regional mobility and increase accessibility to I-10 in conjunction with the planned P.J. Adams Parkway extension that will establish a westerly bypass around Crestview. In addition to providing a second access to I-10 serving the Crestview urban area, the complete program of planned improvements will also advance the goal of relieving traffic congestion along State Road 85. The evaluation will also consider opportunities to provide improved accessibility for the surrounding communities with a context-sensitive approach that considers the needs of all users, including bicyclists and pedestrians.
A public kick-off meeting was held on July 25, 2017.
