Project Details

The construction project will replace the northbound bridge (570055) over Toms Bayou. The new structure will include two 12-foot travel lanes, an eight-foot outside shoulder, and a five-foot sidewalk. The southbound span will be widened to accommodate an eight-foot outside shoulder and five-foot sidewalk.

Traffic Impacts

Drivers will encounter periodic nighttime lane closures and traffic shifts. During Phase 2 of construction, three lanes of traffic will be maintained on the bridge. The inside lane will become a "reversible lane" to allow two southbound lanes (toward Eglin AFB) during morning peak travel times and two northbound (away from Eglin AFB) lanes during the afternoon/evening.

Note: All information is preliminary and subject to change without notice.
