FDOT is conducting two Project Development and Environment (PD&E) studies to analyze the existing characteristics, evaluate the community needs and impacts, and develop proposed conceptual improvements for the below:
I-10 from west of U.S. 90 to west of SR 263 (Capital Circle NW) in Gadsden and Leon Counties
FPID 222530-5-22-01 & 222530-6-22-01
This study will evaluate adding capacity on I-10 by widening the roadway from four to six lanes from west of U.S. 90 in Gadsden County to west of Capital Circle NW in Leon County. The total distance of this study is approximately 4.2 miles. Interchange improvements will be evaluated as necessary.
FDOT will collect and analyze data to help compare the project alternatives. An alternatives meeting and a public hearing will be held to provide interested persons the most current information on the project(s) and allow an additional opportunity for public input. The Alternatives public meeting is anticipated to be held in the spring of 2020.
