Project Details

This is a multi-lane reconstruction design-build construction project on SR 79 from north of Mill Branch Bridge to SR 8 (I-10) in Washington County. The project will be constructed in four phases.

• Phase A: SR 79 from Mill Branch Bridge to Reedy Branch Bridge which has been completed

• Phase B: SR 79 from Pate Pond Road to Cypress Creek Bridge

• Phase C: SR 79 from Cypress Creek Bridge to SR 8 (I-10)

• Phase D: SR 79 from Reedy Branch Bridge to Court Street

Traffic Impacts

There is a traffic shift in the New Hope area as crews make repairs to the roadway. Drivers are reminded to use caution and pay attention to the reduces speed limit in this work zone.

Construction activities are weather-dependent and might be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to use caution, be aware of lane shifts, and watch for heavy equipment
