Project Details

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to consider reconstructing portions of S.R. 20 from S.R. 79 to U.S. 231 in Washington and Bay counties to add capacity, enhance safety, and

address flooding issues. These improvements consist of widening S.R. 20 from two to four lanes and elevating low-lying segments of the roadway prone to flooding. The study will develop and evaluate viable alternatives for these improvements, and will

make recommendations to address existing and future needs. The total distance of this study is approximately 27 miles.
