Project Details

FDOT is conducting a Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Study (220635-2, 220635-4) to assess present features, consider community needs and impacts, and develop possible improvements for SR 20 from Cat Mar Road in Okaloosa County to east of SR 79 in Washington County.

The intent of the study is to address capacity and safety and improve regional mobility.

The project has been divided into three segments:

Segment 1 – Cat Mar Road in Okaloosa County to King Road in Walton County;

Segment 2 – King Road to CR 3280 (Black Creek Boulevard) in Walton County

Segment 3 – CR 3280 (Black Creek Boulevard) to east of SR 79 in Washington County.

Based on the findings of the previously completed Feasibility Study, capacity improvements to SR 20 within the overall project limits are only justified in Segment 2 (King Road to Black Creek Boulevard).
