FDOT began a new project to widen and reconstruct US 319 (Crawfordville Highway) from north of SR 267 to the Leon County line in Wakulla County. Work will include widening the existing two lane road to four lanes, milling and resurfacing, drainage improvements, signage and pavement markings, a new stormwater management facility, a non-paved trail off of C.J. Spears Road, and the installation of a water line and fire hydrants. Lane closures are prohibited from 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. and during holidays.
Drivers should expect intermittent nighttime lane restrictions. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained at all times. All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
