Project Details

The intent of this project is to improve the operation and safety of the U.S. 231 (State Road 75) at County Road 2315 (Star Avenue) and Titus Road intersections. Star Avenue and Titus Road will both be realigned to the south creating a single intersection operated by a traffic signal. The existing connection and railroad crossing at Star Avenue and U.S. 231 will be removed. John Pitts Road will be redirected to a roundabout intersecting with the new Star Avenue alignment. This project is funded for right-of-way and construction. Bids for construction are scheduled to occur winter 2024.

This proposed intersection improvements project will accommodate the future U.S. 231 six-lane widening.
