Project Details

The intent of this project includes widening 4.8 miles of U.S. 98, from Mandy Lane to Richard Jackson Boulevard in Bay County. This project is aimed at increasing capacity on U.S. 98 from four to six lanes, improving traffic safety, and enhancing mobility.

Additional improvements include:

-Continuous sidewalks and bicycle lanes.

-Signalization upgrades including new traffic signals at Mandy Lane and Gulf Boulevard.

-Intersection improvements at the U.S. 98/Pier Park Drive intersection.

-Stormwater enhancements for better drainage.

The project is estimated for completion in late 2027. Associated Project: 217838-4

Traffic Impacts

Drivers may experience intermittent, temporary lane closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Two eastbound and two westbound travel lanes will be maintained at all times. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times.
